Storytelling: Historic Agriculture in the Yampa Valley

Living History
Bud Werner Memorial Library, Community Agriculture Alliance and Tread of Pioneers Museum. night of storytelling about longtime perspectives on growing up in the Yampa Valley. This is a special program in honor of Celebrate Agriculture Week, following up on our wildly successful 2015, 2016 and 2017 historic ag storytelling sessions which are now available in the archives at Tread of Pioneers Museum. Join a conversation with locals who have a rich hands-on history of growing up in traditional agriculture around the Yampa Valley. The evening's conversation will include topics as varied as homesteading, cattle ranching, rural schools, community life, skiing, farming and managing a family ranch. Meet the 2018 panelists: Dennis Lodwick – grew up in the Clark area; Nadene Utter Arroyo – grew up in the Cow Creek area; Verna Decker Whaley – grew up in the Yampa area, on her parents' homestead; and the moderator, Marsha Daughenbaugh – Executive Director of Community Agriculture Alliance.
